A Message From Curtis
I am not going to waste your time with a fancy bio or a list of credentials. If you are here, something brought you here. And I have a pretty good idea what that something is.
Maybe your marriage is hanging by a thread. Maybe your kids are pulling away and you do not know how to reach them anymore. Maybe you have been carrying wounds so long they just feel normal now. Maybe you are exhausted from trying to hold everything together in your own strength while quietly wondering if God even sees what you are going through.
I see it. Because I lived it.
My name is Curtis Smith and I am not here as someone who figured it all out from a distance. I am here as someone who got so lost in his own life that he could not even look at himself in the mirror anymore. Someone who hit a wall so hard the only thing left to do was cry out. And what happened next changed everything.

The story of David in the cave of Adullam is one of profound desperation. Hunted by his enemies and hiding in the dark, he cried out to God in his brokenness. It wasn’t a place of triumph, but a place of surrender—a crucible where a king was being formed in the shadows.
Like David, I found myself in my own cave. The exhaustion of the world, the weight of the badge, and the trials of life had driven me to a place of total brokenness. In that dark space, stripped of my own strength, all I could do was cry out to God. It was there, in the quiet desperation, that He met me.

Healing didn’t happen on a stage; it happened at home. What began as a desperate plea turned into sitting around the kitchen table with Courtney and the kids for Bible study. That simple, authentic space became the spark for No Longer I Ministries—a transition from personal brokenness to equipping others to serve.
If you were to drop by our backyard on a Saturday afternoon, you would step right into the beautiful, chaotic reality we call life. My incredible wife of 12 years, Courtney, and I are usually right in the thick of it.
Our family spans generations: from our adult children, Erin (28) and Deandre (21), to Makenna (11), and our newest addition, seven-month-old Nico. And we certainly cannot forget the joy our grandkids, Harper and Coen, bring to the mix.
Between being a husband, a father of four, a grandfather, and a full-time caregiver to my elderly parents, I know exactly what it means to feel stretched thin. If you are carrying the weight of a busy season, juggling responsibilities, and trying to keep your faith anchored through it all: pull up a chair. You are in good company.
This is not about titles or accolades. Every season of training—from the discipline of the uniform to the depths of theology—is simply preparation for the families God sends our way.
20 years of active service providing a foundation of unyielding discipline and the authority to navigate crisis with a calm presence.
Extensive training at Charis Bible College & Rhema Bible School, establishing a bedrock of faith, grace, and doctrinal clarity.
Ongoing equipping through The Ministry Institute, Increase Academy, and Mental Margin Mindset to lead effectively in complex seasons.

From the very beginning, I want to make one thing explicitly clear: Christ is the foundation, Christ is the source, and I am merely the vessel. Every door that has opened, every heart that has been touched, and every step forward in this ministry is a testament to His grace, not my capability.
My lifelong commitment to sharpening the tools I have been given—through Charis Bible College, Rhema Bible School, and TMI (The Ministry Institute)—is not about acquiring accolades. It is a profound act of stewardship and obedience. When God entrusts you with a calling, the only right response is to prepare yourself diligently to serve His people well.
I am deeply grateful to Jesus for the immense privilege of serving. To God be the glory, now and forever.
You do not have to carry it all in your own strength anymore. Let’s sit down and start a real conversation.
Confidential, zero-pressure, and judgment-free.
